We can offer hunts for:
RED STAGS: Red Deer are the most common hunted animal in New Zealand and record scoring trophies are now available on one of our large South Island Game Ranches. Quality heads can be hunted from late February through to August, March and April are the most exciting months to hunt as this is when the stags "rut", experiencing the "roar" is a very thrilling time, and is a hunt you will never forget.
ELK / WAPITI: Rivers & Ranges experienced team of Guides will ensure you secure a 300-400 + SCI record scoring trophy that will dominate any trophy room, and always proving to be a most memorable and exciting hunt never to be forgotten. New Zealand Wapiti can be hunted from mid-February until late August.
FALLOW DEER: Our large South Island hunting blocks are well known for producing record scoring Trophy Fallow Bucks. The Fallow "rut" starts in early April and runs through to the end of May. This is an excellent time to hunt, however Fallow Bucks can be hunted from March through September. Rivers & Ranges can assist both rifle and bow hunters to secure a prize Trophy Buck.
THAR: Record scoring Himalayan Thar on high alpine tops. Thar bulls can be hunted all year round and sometimes helicopters are used to reach the hunting grounds. The most exciting times to hunt are during the "rut", early May through to July when the Bulls hold a huge mane, and which makes this truly the ultimate alpine hunting adventure.
CHAMOIS: Chamois like Thar can be hunted all year round and are a beautiful species to bless any trophy room. Chamois have very similar hunting times to Thar, and Rivers & Ranges experienced Guides can cater for all levels of fitness while hunting for this beautiful Mountain Goat.
WILD BOAR: With snarling dogs bailing massive Trophy Boars in tight little gullies, Wild Boar hunting with Rivers & Ranges is the ultimate in excitement. Can be hunted all year round, add this adventure to your Safari.
Rivers & Ranges New Zealand can also arrange free range hunts for White-Tail Bucks, Sika Stags, Rusa, Samba and Arapawa Ram.
